Incredibly rare French Gasogene lamp

This is one in my collection that I really should have appraised. I found this in an antique store on the Oregon coast many years ago. It’s absolutely lovely, and large! The pictures don’t do it Justice… I’ve tried to zoom in on the air bubbles in the glass, all Of the perfect imperfections from a craft done by man Before machine. IM tempted to remove the bottom for more info but have yet to do so!! SO UPON MY RESEARCH I THIS IS A FRENCH GASOGENE SELTZER DISPENSER from the mid 19th century (1835-1850) Becoming the first form of water purification ‘for the home or office’. Originally there would have been a wire type of mesh or rattan encompassing each bobble of glass. BECAUSE IT WASN’T AN ‘IF’ IT BLOWS BUT ‘WHEN’! Again, making this piece even more precious! I’ve only seen 3 more in my life. 1 in an LA museum (clear glass) and a set 4 sale. $1800 and yet White Opaline. This Blue is captivating! PM if you would like to chat?!
