Upon completion, offshore oil and gas jackets or HVDC jacket substructures are transported to their installation sites, where they're upended and placed on the seabed. To guarantee a secure and stable setup, a pile is driven through the jacket leg or skirt sleeves, and the annular space between the pile and the jacket is sealed using inflatable grout packers. When inflated with gas or liquid, these packers create a tight seal, preventing leakage during the grouting process and providing a strong bond that anchors the jacket firmly in place.
